PULLMAN, Wash. - When the Washington State soccer team hits the road this week for matches at Oregon State and Oregon, it will do so as a top 25 squad.

The Cougars (10-4-2, 4-1-1 Pac-12) are ranked in all-three national polls. The last time Washington State was a unanimous top 25 team was during the final-four week of the 2009 regular season.

The highest ranking for the Cougars is No. 18 (Soccer Times). Washington State is No. 21 (NSCAA) and No. 25 (Soccer America). In addition, the latest NCAA RPI has the Cougars at No. 31.

"It is flattering to think that others outside our team notice the good work we are doing, especially with the challenges of our schedule," Washington State Head Coach Matt Potter said. "However it is nothing more than an indication we are headed in the right direction with much to look forward to if we continue to perform to our potential. We know there is a lot more soccer to play. The next challenge for us is a tough road trip to the Oregon schools."

Washington State has a win over California (No. 24, Soccer Times) and ties against UCLA and Virginia, ranked as high as No. 3 and No. 6, respectively. Two of the Cougars' losses have come against unanimous No. 1 Stanford and Santa Clara, which tops out at No. 12 in the national polls.

The Cougars play their final-five regular season matches on the road in the Pac-12 beginning with Oregon State (T-No. 21, Soccer Times/No. 23 NSCAA), Friday at 7:30 p.m.
