Preseason came and went in a blink of an eye. A very tasty BBQ at Matt's house got us started on the first night. We were all so anxious for the next day to begin and to get the chance to be together on the field once again. On the first day of training the intensity was incredible and it continued through out the double-days. Our passion for the team and the game was evident. A trip to a mall in Spokane gave us a nice little break in the middle of pre-season, but we realized that shopping might be just as tiring as a day of training.

We finished off preseason on Sunday with a scrimmage against the men's club team, a new challenge is always great, and the game went well and was very promising. After our scrimmage we set out to the University of Idaho where we learned some more valuable lessons about each other and our team. We went to the climbing wall where we climbed up their GIGANTIC wall and belayed each other as well. Trust and communication were huge parts of this challenge, but we were successful and had a blast doing it. It was a great way to finish off pre-season.

We are all so excited to get this season going, seeing that we only added three freshmen to the team who have adjusted quickly we feel that we can continue with where we left off in the spring. The team is much smaller than it has been in the past, which seems to make it feel even more like a family than it ever has before. We are on the road a lot this fall, which will be a bit of a challenge but one that we are looking forward to. We have more resources this year that we can use to get us through a tough and long road trip. In all, we are thrilled to start the season and we plan to start it off with a BANG!!! This season we will defend COUGARLAND and take the pride of it with us everywhere we go. GO COUGS!!!
