PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State University soccer team will host Idaho in an exhibition match Friday, Aug. 24, Cougar Head Coach Matt Potter announced, Monday.

The Cougars have posted three consecutive winning seasons under Potter, who enters his fifth campaign at the helm of the WSU program.

In 2006, the Cougars set a school record for fewest goals allowed at 15. This season, WSU returns 88.9 percent of its goal-scoring and 92.3 percent of its points from a year ago.

Admission to Friday's contest is free. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. WSU's opens the regular season Friday, Aug. 31 at Montana and the Cougars' home opener is Sunday, Sept. 9 at noon against Utah.
