PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State freshman Carly Dobratz has been named to Soccer Buzz Magazine's 2006 All-West Region third team and All-Freshman team, it was announced Monday. Student-athletes were selected from 47 schools that comprise the West Region.
Dobratz started in 15 matches for WSU and recorded three goals and five assists. She led all Cougar scorers with 42 total shots and scored the game-winning goal in the Cougars' 1-0 win over archrival Washington Oct. 8. For her efforts, Dobratz was named to the Pacific-10 All-Conference second team as well as the All-Freshman team.
The Cougars finished in fourth place in the Pac-10 with a 9-7-4 overall record and a 4-3-2 record in conference play. With ten shutouts in 2006, WSU tied a school record and set a single season record for fewest goals allowed as only 15 goals slipped past the Cougar defensive line.
