Attended Woodland High, where he was coached by Mike Gimenez...earned two varsity letters for the Wolves in both football and track...JUNIOR year had 220 rushing attempts for 1,823 yards and 20 touchdowns...named to the All-Delta League team...as a SENIOR rushed for 1,866 yards despite missing significant action because of a hip pointer...had 186 carries and scored 23 touchdowns...named the league's MVP and also received All-Metro and all-area honors...owns every school rushing record for a game, season and career...an All-Far West pick by both Super Prep Magazine and Prep Star Magazine...Tacoma News Tribune All-Western 100 pick and an honorable mention Fab 15 by the Orange Country Register.

RS-JUNIOR (2003-04): V-letter...Games - 11...Starts - 1...arrived on campus in August...earned the following weekly team awards: Offensive Back - Idaho, Cougar Claw - Idaho... • In his first game rushed for 118 yards against Idaho, becoming just the fourth WSU player to rush for 100+ yards in his first game...13.1 ypc against Vandals second best in WSU history; • Did not play at Notre Dame and later missed the Oregon game because of a sprained ankle; • Saw fourth quarter action at Colorado, with 26 rushing yards...in win over New Mexico had nine carries for 43 yards and caught two short passes...started at Stanford when Jonathan Smith and Jermaine Green were both hampered by injuries...picked up 67 yards against Arizona and caught one pass...late in the season at Washington rushed seven times for 26 yards.
