PITOITUA'S HIGH SCHOOL CAREER
Coached by Jim Goode...also played basketball for the Warriors in the Seamount League...earned two varsity football letters...Seamount League defensive player of the year as a SENIOR (2002-03) when he also earned first team all-league honors...did not play football until junior year in high school.

PITOITUA'S WSU CAREER
FRESHMAN (2004-05): V-letter...Games - 8...Starts - 4...delayed enrollment until January, 2004, after signing with WSU in February, 2003...participated in 2004 spring drills before fall camp...earned the following weekly team awards: Cougar Claw Defense - Colorado:
• Selected to The Sporting News All-Pacific-10 freshman team;
• Earned a starting role in fall camp and in opener at New Mexico, made seven tackles, including 1.5 sacks;
• Suffered a high left ankle sprain against Colorado and missed Idaho, Arizona and Oregon games;
• Returned for the Stanford game and made three tackles,
• Had two tackles and forced a fumble at UCLA;
• Finished strong, recording a sack and three tackles at ASU, then 1.5 sacks and three tackles in Apple Cup win over Washington while starting both games.
SOPHOMORE (2005-06): V-Letter...Games - 7...Starts -0:
• Suffered a broken leg in fall camp and missed the first five games of the season;
• First action against Stanford...played sparingly the rest of the season, but slow recovery from injury did not allow him much practice time and limited playing time;
• Made four tackles against ASU and had three stops against both Stanford and USC.
JUNIOR (2006-07): V-letter...Games 9...Starts 9...received the following single-game team awards: WSU's Pac-10 nomination on defense for play against Baylor...participated in seven tackles against USC and then had a season-high eight stops against California...left Oregon game after suffering right knee sprain in first quarter and missed the next three games...returned to make six tackles against Washington.
