Participated in football, and track during prep career at Richland coach Lonnie Pierson...returned kicks and played wide receiver and in the Bomber secondary...JUNIOR season earned first team all-conference and All-Area honors at defensive won the 4A State Championships with a 13-1 record...made 62 tackles and had six interceptions, three that he returned for touchdowns...ran on the 4x100 relay team that finished fourth in the 4A State meet...SENIOR year named to the Associated Press and Washington Prep Football Report 4A All-State first team, as a defensive back for AP and as a receiver for WPFR...player of the year in 4A classification by Washington Prep Football Report...Seattle Times All-State first team defensive back an honorable mention Northwest Nugget by the TNT...caught 31 passes for 755 yards and 11 touchdowns while averaging 24.4 yards per reception....first team all-conference at wide receiver, defensive back and special teams...All-State defensive back...league co-MVP...All-Northwest at defensive back...named a Red Chip Tier I recruit by the Seattle Times...also selected to the Super Prep Far West team.


FRESHMAN (2001-02): V-letter...Games - 12...Starts - of six true freshman to play...saw action in the secondary and on special teams...had four tackles at Boise State, three against UCLA and two against both Oregon State and Montana State...blocked a punt against Washington...picked up a blocked punt at Stanford for a touchdown...earned the following weekly team awards: Arizona/Special Teams Big Play; UCLA/Specialist of the Week.

SOPHOMORE (2002-03): V-letter...Games - 13...Starts - 0...had a tackle in every game except Ohio State and in the Rose Bowl against Oklahoma...a key player in passing situations and on special teams...made three tackles in Nevada opener...had two stops against both MSU and California and then three tackles at Stanford, including a big TFL on a botched Cardinal punt that led to a WSU safety...season-high four tackles against ASU, then three against both Oregon and Washington...earned the following weekly team awards: Defensive Back - USC, Assassin - Oregon; Most Disciplined Special Teams - Washington.

JUNIOR (2003-04): V-letter...Games - 13...Starts - 0...earned the following weekly team awards: Iron Man - Idaho/Colorado/Stanford, Pac-10 Special Teams - Oregon, Special Teams Big Play - Oregon/UCLA. Special Teams: Punts, punt returns, kickoffs, KO returns, on-side kickoffs... • Made four tackles against Colorado and UCLA; • At Oregon intercepted a pass and returned a blocked punt four yards for a touchdown; • Had a 72-yard fumble return to set up a score in WSU's win over UCLA; • Key player in WSU's "nickel" and "dime" defenses; • Made two solo tackles in WSU's Holiday bowl win over Texas.
