WINTER'S HIGH SCHOOL CAREER

Earned eight varsity letters in four sports...three each in football and track and one each in basketball and wrestling...coached by Bob Lucey in football...captained Viking football team senior year and track team twice...SOPHOMORE year won the South Puget Sound League 800m title and was fourth in the State meet running on the 1600m relay team...JUNIOR year team went 8-2...an all-region pick and led the team in receiving yards...earned all-conference honors in track and the team MVP award...finished eighth in the State meet in the 800m race and the Viking 1600m relay team won the State title...received the Elks Award...SENIOR (1999-2000) year an all-region pick as a strong safety and the team's Defensive Player of the Year...led the team in tackles...team finished 9-2...earned All-State honors in track, was the team MVP and also the Most Inspirational winner...scored the most points for the team for a second straight year...State runner-up in the 800m, a school record and the third fastest time in the State...1600m relay team also won the State championship with the second fastest time in State history, also a school record.
