PULLMAN, Wash. --- Head coach Mike Price will be on hand when the Washington House of Representatives passes resolution number 2002-4687 to honor the Washington State University football team Monday in Olympia.

The legislation will be passed in the South Gallery of the Capitol building, and WSU alumnus and current Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed will join Price for the ceremony at 10 a.m.

Cougar alumni and the public are welcome to attend the event, which will be followed by a luncheon at Anthony's restaurant in Olympia at 11:30 a.m., where Price will be a guest.

The resolution is designed to honor the 2001 Cougar football team, which was picked to finish last in the Pac-10, but instead racked up a 10-2 record and defeated Purdue in the Sun Bowl Dec. 31.
