Recap| Final Stats| Notes

Junior Linebacker Pat Bennett
On taking his second career interception back for a touchdown... "It boosted us. We have been looking to score on defense and the last couple of games we didn't get it. This game we actually got one. It gives us more room to work with on defense and once we scored again right before the half, we came out ready to go."

"I knew he was going to throw it there, so I just tried to sneak out there a little bit and he threw it right to me. I was surprised he didn't see me actually. After that it was a big blur. I just took it to the house. I didn't even know what I was doing."

On filling in for Al Genatone against Arizona State...
"Our whole defense has a lot of depth. I figured if everybody else can do it, I can to. When you come in you have to do your job and I did the best I could."

Defensive End Isaac Brown
On playing in last game at Martin Stadium...
"It was a great experience. It was fun to go out there and play our last game at Martin Stadium in a game that means something to us. We have some goals that we are trying to accomplish. I'm excited about what we have been able to do as seniors and it kind of gets me a little bit."

On quarterback Josh Swogger...
"I think Swogger did a good job. I think you guys got introduced to the real Josh Swogger this week. He got a lot of reps and he was very well prepared. He knew that at some point in time he was probably going to come in the game. He is probably the future quarterback at Washington State and the future of this program."

On the WSU defense..
. "I think we did our job. We got a couple of sacks and we got an interception out of them. I think we did enough to win."

Looking ahead to next week...
"The Apple Cup is a big game and no matter what happened to Washington today, they probably still would have came in mad. Now that they have suffered a loss their season is pretty much over unless they beat us. They are going to be trying to get into a bowl and come out and give us all they've got."

Freshman Quarterback Josh Swogger
On his comfort level...
"I felt pretty cool and calm out there. I studied hard this week and watched a lot of game film. I felt really comfortable in the pocket."

"The learning process is coming along really well for me. I'm taking most of the reps during practice. The experience and the reps during practice are really helping with where I'm at right now."

On getting the word that he was playing...
"Matt actually came over to me and said he couldn't go anymore. He said he just didn't feel comfortable in the pocket. His knee was bothering him and his shoulder was bothering him. I just started warming up and throwing and went in and did the best I could."

On Pat Bennett's interception return...
"That was very big. Pat made a great play on that interception. I kind of relaxed and took a deep breath. We put a couple of drives together and kept the defense off the field."
