HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year varsity lettermen in golf at Montclair Prep... also competed in softball and basketball... named team's most valuable player as a junior... received scholar-athlete award freshman through senior years... scoring average of 76 during her senior season... was a Gloria Fecht academic scholarship recipient, which is awarded for excellence in academics and athletics.
Freshman (1998-1999): Made her collegiate debut in fall 1998 at the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic, where she tied for 57th and carded a season best 75 in the first round... competed in five of six fall tournaments... earned her first top 10 finish by firing a three round 236 and placing ninth at the San Diego State Fall Classic.
Sophomore (1999-2000): Fired a 75 in the third round of the fall Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic... finished 21st and shot a three round 237 at the BYU Invitational...Tallied four consecutive top 25 finishes during a key run during the spring season, highlighted by a ninth place finish at the Colby Invitational...placed second at the Inland Collegiate Challenge, helping the Cougars to their only tournament win of the season...carded a career best 72 in the second round and tied for 15th at the Utah-Dixie Classic...second round 73 at the Pac-10 Championship earns a tie for 30th...participated in Washington State's first postseason appearance at the 2000 NCAA West Regional.
Junior (2000-2001): Beat out a 50-player field to win the 77th Annual Los Angeles Women's City Championship with a three-day total of 230 in May...began her junior campaign in spectacular fashion, breaking the school record with a 67 in the second round of the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic, and finishing second place with another school record 209 over 54 holes...tied for 19th at the Shanico Invitational...wrapped up the fall season by firing a 73 and 72 over the final two rounds at the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Classic and tying for fifth...opened the spring season with a third place finish at the Inland Collegiate Challenge...tied for 21st at the San Jose State Invitational and eighth at the Inland Empire Collegiate...geared up for the Pac-10 Championship by placing seventh in a strong field at the Peg Barnard California Collegiate...qualified for the NCAA West Regional as an individual, becoming the first Cougar golfer to compete in consecutive postseasons...during the summer of 2001 secured a fourth place finish at the California Women's Championship and participated in the United States Women's Amateur Championship.
Senior (Fall 2001): with a pair of top 10 efforts (3rd, Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic; 4th, Lady Vandal Fall Invitational), became WSU's all-time leader in career top 10 finishes with nine...staked her claim to the record with a third place effort at the Ram Fall Classic, Sept. 11 and a fourth place finish at the Lady Vandal Classic, Oct. 2... needs one more top 25 finish to tie Erin Johnsrud (1989-90) for second on the career top 25 list with 16...final round score of 70 at the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic, Sept. 11 was the low round of the day in the 93-person field and propelled the Cougars to team records for single round score (297) and overall team score (898).
PERSONAL: Born Oct. 8, 1980 in Los Angeles, Calif....parents Jerry and Joan Browner...one sister, Dina...enjoys reading and is active in community service projects...scored a 1240 on the SAT exam and earned a 4.65 high school GPA...member of the Honor's College...named one of the top 50 student-athletes at WSU...academic work earned her a spot on the President's Honor Roll during freshman and sophomore year...majoring in psychology.
