PULLMAN, Wash. -- Washington state volleyball coach Andrew Palileo invites all fans coming to campus for the football scrimmage Saturday, August 15, to come to Bohler Gym and watch the Cougar volleyball team at an open practice prior to heading to Martin Stadium.
The volleyball team will begin practice at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Bohler Gym with the football scrimmage set to begin at 2:20 p.m. in Martin Stadium.
The WSU volleyball team began practice August 10, and will hits-off the 2009 season by hosting the Nike Cougar Invitational Tournament, with teams from Montana State, UC Davis and the University of Portland, playing matches Aug. 28-29, in Bohler Gym. The Cougars have five returning starters in seniors Jackie Albright, Renee Bordelon and Kelly Hyder, junior Brittany Tillman and sophomore Meagan Ganzer. Freshmen Oceana Bush, Conley Kipp and Rachel Todorovich are expected to have an immediate impact on the team which ended the 2008 season winning three of the final four Pacific-10 Conference matches.
