Cougar Women Conclude Final Round of Stanford Intercollegiate

STANFORD, Calif. - Starting with a solid-first round performance, the Washington State women's golf team finished the Stanford Intercollegiate in 18th place on the par-71, 6,089-yard Stanford golf course, Sunday.

Playing amongst a field including 11 of the nation's top 30 teams, the Cougar women faced thier most difficult field of the fall season. As a team the women shot a third-round total of 313 and finished the three-day tournament with a total score of 946.

Junior Amy Eneroth led the Cougar contingent shooting a three-round total of 233, good for a tie for 47th. Senior Brooke Henderson and freshman Allison Travis, who participated in her first collegiate tournament, both carded a 237.

Junior Jessica Black shot a three-round total of 242 and senior Tracy Broders finished with 245 to round out the Cougar scorers.

The tournament was led by No. 4 Arizona State (862, +10), No. 2 Duke (866, +14) and No. 1 UCLA (872, +20). Stacy Lewis, from the University of Arkansas, took the individual title with a 2-under par 211.

The Cougars will travel to Honolulu, Hawaii, Oct. 30, for the Kent Youel Invitational to wrap up the fall season.
