NAMPA, Idaho -- Washington State University sprinters tallied personal-best times in the 200m races Friday at the Jacksons Invite/New Balance Boise Indoor meet in Nampa, Idaho.

Dominique Keel (sophomore, Beaverton, Ore.) was the top Cougar woman in the 200m dash with a time of 24.63 seconds for third place. Other WSU women among the 67 runners in the 200m included Briaúna Watley (25.16 - 8th), Bree Winfrey (PR 25.40 - 10th), Holly DeHart (25.64 - 14th), Christiana Ekelem (25.72 - 16th), Danielle Darden (25.78 - 18th), and Mimi Brown (25.84 - 19th).

Terrance Chambers was the top WSU male in the men’s 200m with a PR time of 21.89 for sixth place. Other Cougars and their finishes include Andre McBride (22.15 - 9th), CJ Allen (22.31 - 12th) and Kyle Farmer (PR 22.85 - 17th).

MOSCOW, Idaho -- At the Idaho Collegiate Meet at the Kibbie Activities Center in Moscow, a small group of Cougars tallied solid marks. Jackson Haselnus won the men’s mile with a PR time of 4 minutes 17.89 seconds. Forrest Shaffer and John Whelan finished one-two in the men’s 3000m with Shaffer clocking in at 8:45.89 and Whelan running a time of 8:48.88. Ian Markham ran a 60m hurdles PR time of 8.77 in the prelims.

In field events, Matt Wardell threw the shot put a PR distance of 51-feet10 1/2 inches (15.81m) for third place and brother Sam Wardell threw the weight throw a PR distance of 44-4 (13.51m).

Saturday competition for WSU continues at the Jacksons Invitational/New Balance Indoor in Nampa and the Vandal Open in Moscow.
