HOT OFF THE UPSET, WSU VOLLEYBALL HEADS TO BAY AREA SCHOOLS
The Washington State University volleyball team (4-12 in Pac-12, 17-12 overall) coming off the stunning 3-2 win over No. 4 USC travels to the Bay area this weekend...WSU takes on No. 5 Stanford (13-3 Pac-12, 20-5 overall) at Maples Pavilion Friday, Nov. 22 and then heads to Haas Pavilion to play No. 23 California (10-6 Pac-12, 17-8 overall) Sunday, Nov. 24...both matches will be broadcast on Pac-12 Networks and heard on KQQQ-AM radio (1150 AM) in the Pullman
area and on wsucougars.com.

COUGAR COACHING STAFF
Jen Stinson Greeny is in her third season as WSU’s head coach (42-51 at WSU, 3 years; 154-75 in career, 7 years) - complete Greeny bio on page 4...assistant coaches Burdette Greeny (3rd year) and Shannon Hunt (first year)...volunteer coach Kali Gesser...all four coaches are former WSU student-athletes...Katie Hinrichs is coordinator of operations (3rd year) who played for the Greenys at Lewis-Clark State College.

NOTEABLE:
* In the series with Stanford, WSU’s last win was in 2002, in Pullman.
* In the series with California, WSU’s last win was in 2002, in Pullman and last win in Berkeley was in 2001.
* WSU’s 3-2 win over No. 4 USC  Nov. 17:
    > second win over ranked opponent in Greeny’s tenure
    > highest RPI-ranking opponent (No. 5) victory for Cougars
* WSU’s 3-2 win over No. 16 Arizona State Oct. 11:
    > first win over a ranked team in Jen Greeny’s three seasons
    > first Cougars win over a ranked team since Oct. 23, 2009 when WSU  defeated No. 4 Washington 3-1 in Pullman
* Setter Camryn Irwin is in fourth place in WSU career assists with 3,275 (564 from third place).
* MH Marcelina Glab’s 397 career total blocks is sixth-best in WSU all-time records and only 22 away from Joanne Johnson’s 1991-93 total fo 412.
*Glab’s 360 block assists is tied for third-best in WSU all-time career records with her Head Coach’s 1995-98 career total.

WSU’S HOLT THREE-PEATS AS PAC-12 FRESHMAN PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Kyra Holt, a 6-1 OH from Hercules, Calif., was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week for Nov. 11-17...Holt had 31 kills to lead the Cougars during the two five-set matches, including 13 kills in WSU’s 3-2 come from behind win against No. 4 USC...down 14-8 in the fifth set, Holt had four kills in WSU’s final 13 points to win the set 21-19 and the match 3-2...she also tallied 19 digs and four blocks in the upset win over USC...against UCLA, Holt had 18 kills, nine digs and four blocks...previous Pac-12 Freshman PoW wins came 9/2-8, and 10/28-11/3...this is the 24th time a WSU volleyball player has been selected for a conference player of the week honor and the third time for a freshman of the week nod.
