PULLMAN, Wash. – Oregon State received a goal in the 17th minute from Erin Uchacz and made it stand up for a 1-0 victory at Washington State in Pac-12 women’s soccer, Friday.
The win was the first on the road this season for the Beavers (4-9-2, 2-3-1 Pac-12) while the loss for the Cougars (9-3-3, 2-3-1 Pac-12) was their second-straight at home.
“Give credit to the Beavers because they executed their gameplan,” Washington State Head Coach Keidane McAlpine said. “I didn’t think we did a great job with our intensity and it hurt us.”
The Cougars held a 14-8 advantage in shots and generated 12 corner kicks to two for the Beavers. Washington State forced Oregon State to make four saves. The Cougars had some scoring chances throughout the match with perhaps the best coming with 21 seconds left when Jamie Schnieders sent a shot just wide of the far right post.
Next up for the Washington State is a match at Arizona, Oct. 25 at 2 p.m.
