DURHAM, N.C. – Washington State’s Ben Roberts and Trace Tam Sing were among the nation’s top prospects in 2013 summer collegiate leagues, Baseball America announced, Thursday.

Roberts, a redshirt freshman outfielder in 2013, was named the fourth-best prospect in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. Tam Sing, the Cougars’ redshirt sophomore shortstop last spring, was listed eighth on the list.

Roberts and Tam Sing were part of the Newport (R.I.) Gulls team that finished runner-up in the NECBL. Each batted .312 and Roberts set a league record with 18 doubles, one better than Tam Sing.
