PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State volleyball team held a brief scrimmage and then greeted season ticket holders Wednesday evening in Bohler Gym. The 15-member 2013 Cougar team was introduced to the fans by third-year head coach Jen Greeny and her assistants Burdette Greeny and Shannon Hunt. WSU has seven newcomers of which six are freshmen tabbed the 14th-best recruiting class in the nation by PrepVolleyball.com.
WSU begins the 2013 season Aug. 31 in West Point, NY, playing in the Army Black Knights tournament. The Cougars open their home schedule Sept. 6 hosting the Cougar Challenge Tournament with Eastern Washington, Montana, South Dakota and Texas Tech.
