Family of Ivana Kmetovska Meets Team in Europe

PRAGUE – Family of freshman Ivana Kmetovska met the Washington State University women’s basketball team in Prague, Tuesday, Aug. 13 as the team returned from a victory over Hradec Králové.

The Macedonia native had father, Trajce, brother, Peter, and sister, Jovana, in attendance today as the Cougars faced Karlovy Vary. Family members said they drove more than 15 hours to watch “Iva” play.

“It felt great to have them here and to watch me play, “ Kmetovska said after the game.

Kmetovska scored four points to helped WSU defeat Karlovy Vary, 85-60.

Kmetovska will be a freshman at Washington State and is pursuing a degree in psychology.

The Cougars are in Europe as part of a 10-day foreign trip through Austria, Slovakia, and Czech Republic. The team will return to Pullman Aug. 16.
