LUBBOCK, Texas - Washington State's Jason Monda is one of 11 student-athletes on the most recent edition of the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award Watch List, the College Baseball Hall of Fame announced, earlier this week.

A junior from Olympia, Wash., Monda has played in 47 games as a hitter, all starts, and made 15 appearances on the mound, including three starts. He is the only student-athlete in the Pac-12 Conference to be on the watch list and among four that attend a West Coast school.

With seven games left on the Cougars' schedule, Monda owns a .293 batting average with six home runs and 35 RBI as an outfielder, first baseman and designated hitter. He is 2-2 with one save and a 1.16 ERA on the mound. He has recorded 21 strikeouts in 31 innings.

The award will be presented June 29.
