PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State football wrapped up spring practice with a two-hour workout in shorts, helmets and shoulder pads on Rogers Field and in Martin Stadium Tuesday afternoon.
The Cougars worked through their usual practice segments of individual position drills, one-on-one battles, 7-vs-7 and special teams that focused on the punt coverage and kickoff return before closing the day with an extended team segment.
The first series saw Connor Halliday at quarterback. Halliday completed a number of passes to wideout Gabe Marks before the defense held stout near the goal line. Quarterback Austin Apodaca led the next series and completed a good number of passes as well but did get picked off by Taylor Taliulu and Rahmel Dockery during the drive. Halliday led one last drive for the offense and tossed two touchdowns to wide receiver Isiah Myers before running back Teondray Caldwell scored over the left side for the final touchdown of the spring.
Washington State will start fall camp in early August and open the 2013 season Aug. 31 at Auburn.
