Fiscal Technician 3
Washington State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is accepting applications for the position of Fiscal Technician 3. This Fiscal Technician 3 position performs fiscal administrative support functions for the WSU Cougar Athletic Fund staff, using independent judgment in applying policies, procedures, and guidelines. The duties of the position includes, but is not limited to: processing gifts received by the CAF; reconciling purchasing cards; entering fiscal data in databases; providing reports to CAF staff; assist donors and staff with donation/ticket questions and assist with supervising hourly employees.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, or GED certificate AND fifteen quarter hours or ten semester hours of college-level accounting or bookkeeping AND two years of full-time experience as a Fiscal Technician, or equivalent, including experience using accounting-related software; An Associate of Arts Degree, or equivalent, in accounting or business may substitute for one year of required experience. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration. Experience maintaining fiscal/bookkeeping records, including account reconciliation, spreadsheet maintenance, and/or coding of invoices for payment. Strong organizational skills. Able and willing to work occasional evenings and weekends. Demonstrated ability to work with Microsoft Office systems, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Demonstrated experience working with database systems and mainframe computer systems with administrative projects. Experience working in a higher education setting. Experience working in an intercollegiate athletic department. Experience with researching and interpreting policies and procedures. Work experience that demonstrates the ability to manage multiple tasks and perform sound decision-making. Work experience that demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively with co-workers and constituents. Knowledge and understanding of applicable rules and regulations, including State of Washington, Washington State University, Athletic Department, NCAA, and Pac-12 Conference rules and regulations.

Coordinator of Fiscal Reporting & Management, Athletic Ticket Office
Washington State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is accepting applications for the position of Coordinator of Fiscal Reporting and Management, Athletic Ticket Office (Fiscal Specialist 1). This Fiscal Specialist 1 position is responsible for performing a variety of financial tasks such as payroll processing, budget maintenance, financial reporting, ticket office purchasing, record keeping for internal purchases of tickets, maintaining record keeping/filing systems and compiling data for the Director of Ticket Operations and Ticket Office Staff.
Minimum Qualifications: Three years of fiscal record keeping experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Fiscal experience in a higher education institution. Ability to work independently under pressure. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work with students, coaches, and administrators in a broad range of situations. Ability to provide clear information on an impromptu basis to individuals or diverse groups of people. Strong computer background, with working knowledge of ticket sales computer software, Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiarity with WSU policies and procedures; NCAA and Pac-12 Conference rules and regulations.
