After serving one season as an assistant on Sherri Murrell's staff at the University of the Pacific, Holland made the move with Murrell to WSU in the spring of 2002.

Holland was no stranger to the Pacific-10 Conference prior to his arrival at Pullman. Before his brief stint at Pacific, Holland was at Arizona State where he was team manager of the women's basketball team for five years.

Holland's primary responsibilities at WSU are to act as camp director as well as coordinating film exchange. On the court, Holland works with the post players.

"Christopher has an extensive knowledge of the game and is a great player's coach," said Murrell. "His personality meshes well with recruits as well as the players. He is a hard worker who will always find a way to make our program better."

While in the Valley of the Sun, Holland assisted the head coach in recruiting, breaking down film, organizing teaching clinics, and marketing and promoting the women's basketball program. During his time with the Sun Devils, the program went from a sub .500 record to a WNIT berth in 1999, to its first Pac-10 championship, and finally an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2001.

Holland also coached at several basketball camps at Arizona State as well running various clinics at current ASU Head Coach Charli Turner-Thorne's basketball camp. He was one of 25 students selected by a panel of faculty to serve with the Arizona State University Student Foundation and received numerous awards for his outstanding contributions to the women's basketball team.

Holland is a graduate of Arizona State where he earned a bachelor's in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis in mass communications and history. He also attended graduate school at Arizona State.

Holland married director of basketball operations Sarah Holland (formerly Allen) in June 2004.
