SCHWARZ'S HIGH SCHOOL CAREER

Coached by Ivor Hoglund, earning three varsity letters in football...team captain senior year...lettered four times in track, throwing the discus and shot...high school colors the same as WSU, crimson and gray...as a SOPHOMORE started all nine games during the football season...placed seventh at the State track meet in the discus...also won the district championship...JUNIOR year started all nine games and was a second-team All-Black Hills League pick...finished fifth at the State track meet in the discus...during SENIOR year received first team all-league and All-State honors...in the spring captured fourth at the State track meet in the discus after winning the district title.

SCHWARZ'S WSU CAREER

Freshman (1995-96): Redshirt season.

RS-Freshman (1996-97): Played in one varsity game, San Jose State, and the Cougars' only junior varsity game at Walla Walla Community College.

RS-Sophomore (1997-98): Saw limited action in two varsity games, Boise State and Southwestern Louisiana, plus WSU's only junior varsity contest at Walla Walla Community College.

RS-Junior (1998-99): V-letter...played in eight games, missing contests against Illinois in the opener and Arizona and Washington late in the season.
