A three-year letterman for head coach Van Troxel at Lake City High School...also lettered twice in basketball and three times in track...played varsity as a SOPHOMORE and helped Timberwolves to a 12-1 record and second in the state...as a JUNIOR earned first team All-Inland Empire League and first team All-North Idaho accolades at tight end and linebacker...earned second team All-State honors at linebacker...led Lake City to a 9-3 record and the state title...SENIOR (2003-04) season was named the Inland Empire League's co-Player of the Year on defense after recording 104 tackles, seven sacks, and seven forced fumbles...also hauled in 38 passes for 503 yards and six touchdowns...repeated first team all-league honors on both sides of the ball...named to the Spokesman-Review All-North Idaho Team on offense...named first-team All-State at linebacker by the Idaho Statesman...served as team captain, guiding team to an 8-2 record and a third place state finish...rated the No. 55 linebacker nationally by TheInsiders.com...became one of Washington State's earliest verbal commitments in program history, making his intentions to play for the Cougars known May 3 of his junior year.
