Freshman (1996-97): Played wide receiver and was a punter at Mesa CC.

ANDERSON'S PHOENIX COLLEGE CAREER

Sophomore (1997-98): Coached by John Allen...moved to linebacker and continued punting chores...named to the all-conference and all-region team and to the All-Western States second team as a punter...punted 60 times for 44.2 average (2,650 yards)...long of 65 yards.

ANDERSON'S WSU CAREER

Junior (1998-99): Enrolled at WSU in January, participating in spring drills...WSU's regular punter for all 11 games, averaging 40.5 yards with 70 punts...a long of 55 yards at California...best games included a 48.0 average on four punts at Arizona, 47.6 average with five punts in the opener against Illinois when he was the Pac-10 Special Teams Player of the Week, and 44.3 yards on eight punts in the finale against Washington...dropped 18 of his 70 punts inside the 20 yard line...had 10 punts of 50 yards or longer...ranked fifth among Pac-10 punters...suffered a torn ligament of the right ring finger in a game against UCLA, but was able to finish the season before having corrective surgery...earned the following game awards: Pac-10 Special Team - Illinois, ASU, Arizona; Specialist of the Week - Illinois, Idaho, Oregon, USC, Stanford; Special Team Big Play - Illinois, ASU; Cougar Claw - UCLA
