Coached by Don Anderson at Gonzaga Prep, earning three varsity letters in football as a linebacker...also lettered three times in a SOPHOMORE selected the Greater Spokane League's second team centerfielder...all-GSL second team linebacker...during JUNIOR year named the GSL's defensive player of the year...did not play baseball because of shoulder surgery...SENIOR year repeated as the league's MVP on defense...named by the Tacoma News Tribune a Northwest Nugget...AAA All-State second team, as picked by the state's sportswriters and broadcasters...a Super Northwest pick by Super Prep Magazine.


Freshman (1995-96): Redshirt season...member of WSU's baseball team...reserve outfielder who played in 42 games, hitting .196 with four stolen bases.

RS-Freshman (1996-97): V-letter...played in nine of WSU's 11 games...missed the California game and also the contest at Temple...underwent arthroscopic knee surgery and did not play against the Bears...earned Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention...collected 14 total tackles, including 12 primary stops...also one game came against Oregon State recording seven tackles...earned five weekly team awards: Big Hit - Oregon, USC, UCLA; Specialist of the Week - Oregon; Pac-10 Special Teams Player of the Week - SJSU...also a regular in center field during baseball season until spring football drills...hit .356 prior to spring drills and finished the year at .286...number two in stolen bases with 12.

RS-Sophomore (1997-98): V-letter...started all 12 games at linebacker...was a Pac-10 honorable mention pick as selected by the league's coaches...named Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention for the second straight season...led the team in tackles with 100, fifth best in the Pac-10...nine tackles for loss (-17)...five pass deflections...recorded a career high 12 tackles against Oregon...had four games with over 10 tackles...received the following team awards: Defensive Pursuit Player - Washington, Boise State, UCLA, Oregon, California, Arizona, Southwestern Louisiana; Big Hit - Washington , UCLA, USC; Cougar Tackler - Boise State, California; Defensive Lineman - USC; Pac-10 Defensive Nomination - Southwestern Louisiana...a regular in center field during baseball season, starting 35 of the 46 games he appeared in...hit .290, including six triples which is one short of school record...six home runs.

RS-Junior (1998-99): co-captain...played in 10 of 11 games, missing the ASU game with a knee strain and did not start at All-Pac-10 academic first team pick...All-Pac-10 honorable mention pick...the one game he missed snapped his consecutive start string at 19 games...third on the team with 70 tackles, including 50 primary tackles...credited with four sacks (-34 yards) and nine TFL (-48 yards)...forced one fumble and broke up two passes...against Oregon made a season-high 12 tackles, including seven season's final game at home against Washington made 10 tackles and had two sacks...also had 10 tackles at Boise State and two sacks at California, along with a pass deflection...among Pac-10 leaders in total tackles, ranking tied for 11th at 7.0/game...earned the following game awards: Defensive Pursuit - BSU, Oregon, Arizona; Cougar Tackler - BSU, USC; Pac-10 Defense - California; Big Hit - UCLA; Most Disciplined Defense - Stanford.

RS-Senior (1999-00): Elected team co-captain.

Career: Has started 20 of his last 22 games..20 career starts and 184 career tackles.
