Attended Lincoln High...earned four varsity letters in football for coach George Najhar ... played both running back and free safety ... also lettered in basketball, volleyball and baseball ... as a JUNIOR in football earned all-borough and all-city honors ... during SENIOR season was named team's most valuable player ... selected to the all-borough and all-city teams ... was the MVP of the city of Brooklyn as well as the MVP of the Brooklyn All-Star game.

  • Freshman (1996-97): Played two seasons for coach George Rush as a defensive back...during year, earned all-conference honors while team finished with a No. 3 national ranking.
  • Sophomore (1997-98): Earned all-conference and second team All-America honors ... SFCC, the No. 1 junior college team in the nation with an 11-1 record, won the Hawaiian Punch Bowl with a 42-17 win over Butte College.

  • Junior (1998-99): V-letter ... started all 11 games at cornerback after earning the spot in the last week of fall camp...finished the season with 51 tackles, including 39 unassisted or primary tackles...seventh on the team in total tackles...had one TFL and three interceptions returned for 12 yards...also forced one fumble, returned one fumble 22 yards (against Oregon) and tied for the team lead with nine pass deflections...among his best games were an 11-tackle performance at Boise State when he also picked off two passes...his other interception came the next week at home against Idaho...had five tackles against USC...had three pass deflections against both Illinois in the season opener and against USC...ranked 12th in the Pac-10 in passes defensed (interceptions 3, deflections 9)...earned the following game awards: Pac-10 Defense - BSU; Defensive Back - BSU, Idaho, UCLA; Cougar Claw - Idaho, Arizona; Special Team Big Play - USC.
