FRESHMAN (2002): Redshirt season.

Accumulated 12 varsity letters and was a member of seven state champion teams at Nampa Christian High…volleyball honors came while playing for coach Debi Downs…was a wing/post for basketball coach Byron Gingrich and hurdler for track coach and her mother, Lorri Beida…FRESHMAN year the Trojans’ volleyball team finished second in state…selected first team All-Western Idaho Conference…basketball team placed third in district…named second team all-league…track team won state 2A title…as a SOPHOMORE, volleyball team again state runners-up…named first team all-WIC…hoops team won state title…named to all-league and second team all-state…NCH track team wins state title…on 4x100m relay team that won gold and set state record…finished second in high and intermediate hurdles races…during JUNIOR year, volleyball wins state title…voted league MVP…basketball team finished third in state…earned first team all-league and all-state accolades…track team finishes first in state…100m and 200m hurdles state champion…4x100m relay team breaks state record set previous year…SENIOR year volleyball team repeats as state 2A champions…named MVP of league…sets school record with 29 kills in state title match…also holds NCH records in kills (310) and service points (208)…basketball team finishes third at state…named first team all-league and all-state…holds school career records for most steals (249), blocks (102), and free throws (183)…track team wins fourth state title in her prep career…at state meet finished first in long jump, second in both hurdles races…on the club volleyball circuit, played for Team Idaho and coach Lelani Morris and then for coach Keith Rubio and Club Idaho.

Melanie Anne Greene was born October 2, 1984, at San Diego, California….father Ken Greene is a former outstanding WSU and professional football player currently coaching defensive backs at Purdue…mother Lorri Bieda is also a WSU grad currently working for the state of Idaho as the public schools athletics administrator…maternal grandfather Don Eby is also a WSU grad (’51)…older sisters Lindsey (5/6/81) and Jenny (3/7/83) attend Azusa Pacific University…hobbies include snowboarding…planning to pursue a degree in communications at WSU.
