PULLMAN, Wash. - With the departure of three seniors, the Washington State University men's golt team received a National Letter of Intent from Sean Nuzzo and will use his services next season to fill this void.

Nuzzo, a senior out of Federal Way, Wash., won South Puget Sound League (SPSL) back-to-back district championships in 1997 and 1998. His golf accomplishments include a sixth place finish at the WIAA Boys State AAA Golf Championships during his junior year at Federal Way High School.

"He is a great player and will make a definite contribution to this team," WSU interim coach Melissa Arthur said. "He has an extensive tournament background in which he has been very successful. I believe he will be great for the program."

Besides lettering in golf for four-years at Federal Way, Nuzzo also lettered in wrestling and baseball. He is an Honor Society member holding a prep grade-point average of 3.5.

"He has great skills and tournament experience, which will help him make an easy transition on to this team," Arthur said. "I believe he will make an immediate impact."
