GENERAL: Earned four varsity baseball letters for coach Larry Thompson and two in basketball for coach Dave Belmonte...SOPHOMORE: During the spring hit .310 for Bellevue High, then in the summer hit .363 playing for Honda Senior American Legion...JUNIOR: Named to the All-KingCo second team during the spring as team advanced to post-season competition...hit .392 for Honda during the team’s most improved player and leading rebounder as team advanced to the district playoffs...SENIOR: Baseball captain...led baseball team into post-season competition while hitting .480...All-KingCo first team pick and nominated to play in the State all-star game...played for Chaffey Construction during the summer...led the 51-4 team in hitting at .489 and in home runs and slugging percentage...MVP of the Best in the West Tournament and the Fourth of July tournament...named to the Carson City Classic all-tourney team.


FRESHMAN (1995-96): Enrolled in August...redshirt season.

RS-FRESHMAN (1996-97): Led the team at the plate, finishing the year with a .350 batting average...used primarily as a designated hitter...hit .429 at home, the top mark on the club, but just .279 on the road...led the club with 25 walks...his on-base percentage of .440 also tops for the Cougars, as was his RBI total of 42...hit a grand slam at Fresno State March 19...also home runs against Gonzaga, LCSC, Washington and Portland State (five total HRs) March 22 game with LCSC, went 5-for-5 and drove home four runs...20 multiple-hit games...drove home five runs March 25 game with Gonzaga and had four RBIs in two other games...went 10-for-17 in four game stretch in late March...had hits in six of WSU’s last seven's how he hit against Pac-10 North opponents: OSU .276 (8/29), PSU .333 (10/30), Washington .394 (13/33)...his monthly hitting averages: February .238 (5/21), March .500 (12/24), April .365 (31/85), May .273 (9/33).

RS-SOPHOMORE (1997-98): Started 37 games as the Cougars primary designated hitter…hit .241 with a fifth best tally of eight home runs…was 2-for-4 with the bases loaded…hit .342 in games that WSU won…tied a WSU single game record with four strikeouts against Arizona State Feb. 13…had a 3-for-3 game with two home runs, four runs scored and five RBI in the second game of the year against Houston…had two other four-RBI games, against Oregon State and Gonzaga…most memorable game of his season was April 18 against cross-state rival Washington when he hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game…in a four game stretch in late March and early April, went 8-for-16 with five RBI…scored four runs against Arizona State on February's how he hit against Pac-10 opponents: ASU .308 (4/13), CAL .000 (0/4), OSU .150 (3/20), Washington .226 (7/31)...his monthly hitting averages: February .333 (12/36), March .220 (9/41), April .246 (14/57), May .000 (0/11).

RS-JUNIOR (1998-99): Began his first full season as a position player in his WSU career… was the Cougs top defensive first baseman in 1999 with a .993 fielding percentage, committing only two errors in 279 total chances… improved at the plate from his injury-ridden 1998 season to hit .289… hit seven home runs to give him 20 total in his career… in non-Pac-10 games he hit .333 with six of his seven home runs… tied a team season high with 13 putouts two times… had 10 multiple-hit games and nine multiple-RBI games in 1999… finished the season with a three game hitting streak… had a perfect game at the plate with three RBI and a home run against Cal on March 16… here's how he hit against Pac-10 opponents: ARIZ .300 (3/10), ASU .143 (1/7), CAL .375 (6/16), OSU .333 (6/18), Stanford .000 (0/7), UCLA .300 (3/10), USC .143 (1/7) Washington .364 (8/22)... his monthly hitting averages: February .190 (4/21), March .351 (13/37), April .240 (12/50), May .341 (14/41).

WSU CAREER: Begins the 2000 season ranked sixth on the career record list with 113 strikeouts… finished the 1999 season sixth in the single-season strikeout list with 46… one of nine players on the 2000 roster with three or more years of experience in the Cougar baseball program.
