A decorated high school and collegiate rower, Robyn Willow enters her second season as the Washington State University women's rowing program's graduate assistant coach for the 2012 season.

During Willow's first season at Washington State, the Cougar varsity eight defeated No. 15 Michigan, No. 11 Ohio State, and Oregon State. The second varsity eight finished fifth at the San Diego Crew Classic Grand Final. At the Pacific-10 Conference Championships, the Cougars finished fifth after the varsity eight crew out-stroked Washington, UCLA, and Oregon State. Washinton State placed 12th at the NCAA Rowing Championships as all three varsity boats advanced to the Petite Final.

Willow came to the Palouse after coaching the Junior B (U16) girls rowing team and serving as a social studies and French teacher at Brentwood College in Mill Bay, British Columbia, from 2007-2010. The Brentwood College squad placed second overall at the Canadian Secondary Schools Rowing Championships in June 2010. At Brentwood, Willow was a part of the Brentwood Regatta, the largest single high school sporting event in North America.

From March-July, 2010, Willow served as a junior development camp coach and Vancouver Island U15 coach. Her Vancouver Island team's crews won gold, silver and bronze in men's double and mixed quad events and gold and silver in women's double events.

Willow was a varsity rower at the University of Victoria from 2000-04. During that time the Vikes won four-consecutive Canadian University Rowing Championships. In 2001 she won two gold medals at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in the women's eights. As a member of the British Columbia Provincial Team, Willow earned a gold medal at the Canada Summer Games in the women's eight in 2001 and two gold and one silver medal at the Canada Cup Regatta in 2002.

While attending St. Andrew's High School in British Columbia, Willow earned her rowing team's MVP honors three times. She won a gold medal in 2000 at the San Diego Crew Classic while rowing with the Victoria City Rowing Club. As a member of the British Columbia Provincial Team in 2000, she earned gold, silver and bronze medals at the Canada Cup Regatta. In the classroom, Willow was an academic honors student from 1997-2000.

A native of Victoria, B.C., Willow graduated from the University of Victoria in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in history.
