PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - Forward Shami Gill scored 17 points Tuesday night to lead Washington State to a 73-61 victory over Montana.

David Bell and Ryan Pederson led Montana (2-6) with 11 points each.

WSU outrebounded Montana 46-29 and went 17-for-21 at the free-throw line, compared with Montana's 1-for-7 shooting at the line. The Cougars led virtually all the way, twice pushing their lead to 17 midway through the second half.
