ABOUT SOUTH DAKOTA STATE: The Jackrabbits are 4-11 and have yet to play a home game...South Dakota State has taken road trips to Murray State, Central Arkansas, Missouri State and Creighton, partcipated in a tournament at Minnesota and played a single game at Nebraska...Jackrabbits have won three of their last five after a 1-9 start...batting .273 as a team with a 6.59 earned run average...Tony Martin leads South Dakota State with a .350 batting average...Jesse Sawyer is the reigning Summit League Player of the Week after going 7-for-20 (.350) with two home runs and six RBI last week against Missouri State and Creighton...Kirby Morsching is the leading hurler for the Jackrabbits with a 2-1 mark, one save and a 2.25 ERA in eight appearances out of the bullpen.
SERIES AGAINST SOUTH DAKOTA STATE: This is the first meeting on the diamond between the Cougars and Jackrabbits.
COUGARS AGAINST THE SUMMIT LEAGUE: Washington State is 8-6 all-time against current member of the Summit League...all but one of the meetings have come against Oral Roberts, including a 2-1 loss this season (March 7) at the Academy Sports + Outdoors Rice Classic in Houston...Cougars also defeated Southern Utah in 2007.
