Q: Why did you choose WSU over other universities recruiting you? A: "I came on my recruiting trip and I loved the campus. But, the most significant thing was the girls on the team; I could see myself getting along with everyone and really fitting in."

Q: Why did you choose movement studies as a major? A: "Because it is related to health and fitness which are areas of interest to me."

Q: When you're done with your undergraduate career at WSU, what do you want to do? A: "Probably go to graduate school, to delay going into the real world as long as possible."

Q: What are some personal goals you have for the season? A: "To play the best I can every game; to do my job to the best of my ability so that my team can be successful. I just take it game-by-game and try to do my best."

Q: How many people are in your family? A: "I'm the youngest. I have two older brothers, Travis who is 22 and Jason who is 29. I also have an older sister. Travis used to beat me up everyday and I would fight with my brothers all the time."

Q: What are some of your favorite movies or TV shows? A: "The reality TV shows because they're so stupid. I like the Bachelor because I like the cat fights and watching the girls backstab each other. It's hilarious."

Q: Playing a collegiate sport takes a lot of time and energy and it's a big commitment. What is your motivation to play? A: "Soccer is a passion I have and playing for my teammates is one of the highs of my life."

Q: Are there any superstitions you have or the team has? A: "I don't believe in superstitions because it would freak me out if I didn't do it, but there are some girls that are crazy and have to follow the same routine every time they do something."

Q: If I was interviewing your teammates what would they say about you? A: "They'd say I'm amazing and perfect in every way," Spear said laughing. "No, I'm just kidding, they'd probably say I like to have fun and laugh a lot. I like to dance and make other people laugh and have fun too. I hope they'd say I care a lot about my friends and that I would do anything for them."
