STANFORD, Calif. - The weather once again forced a tournament cancellation as torrential rains drenched the par-70, 6,742 yard Stanford Golf Course Sunday, April 16. The U.S. Intercollegiate presented by the Maple Fund was called shortly after final round play began Sunday morning, the scores from Saturday's two rounds will be final.

Recalling Saturday's 36 holes, senior Ryan Witz posted a two round score of 8-over 148 (76-72) to finish tied for 23rd. The Tuscon, Ariz., native climbed 25 spots during the second round to mark his second consecutive top-25 finish. Witz has now placed in the top 25 in four of the five spring tournaments including his first place finish at the Duck Invitational.

Junior Chris Collins carded rounds of 75-78 to finish tied for 50th (153, +13) while redshirt junior Jordan Madison fired a 14-over 154 to place knotted at 54th. Sophomore Jordan Mason and redshirt sophomore Matt Fladwood tied for 63rd and 79th, respectively, to round out the Cougar crew.

The Cougars tied for 12th after posting scores of 307-302 for a total score of 609 (+49). UCLA took the team title with a one stroke lead over USC at 18-over 578. Stanford's Rob Grube captured the individual title after firing a 6-under 64 during the second round to finish at 5-under 135.

The Cougars return to action at the Pac-10 Championships April 24-26 at Palm Desert, Calif.
