NATION'S BIGGEST TURNAROUNDS
With three more victories already in 2008-09 than in all of last season, the Cougars rank tied for sixth nationally amongst teams making the greatest turnarounds this season.
FROSH ONE-TWO PUNCH
Not only does Cougar freshman Jazmine Perkins rank tied for third in scoring in the Pacific-10 Conference, she is the top freshmen in the conference and ranks fourth nationally amongst freshmen with 15.0 points per game. April Cook ranks second amongst Pac-10 freshman - and seventh overall in the conference - at 13.7 ppg.
The Cougars trail Oregon 10-53 in the all-time series, and have not defeated the Ducks since Feb. 18, 2006, a streak of five consecutive losses.
WINNING THE TURNOVER BATTLE
The Cougars currently rank first in the Pac-10 in turnover margin at +4.9. The Cougars entered this week ranked 34th in the nation in the statistical category.
The Cougars have added two televised games to the 2008-09 schedule. WSU's home games against USC (Feb. 20) and Washington (March 6) will each be televised by FSN Northwest. Both games will tip-off at 7 p.m.
