PULLMAN, Wash. -- Coming off a disappointing 11th place finish at the University of Washington's Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, the Washington State women's golf team is looking to return to their early season form at Stanford University's 36th Annual Stanford / PEPSI Women's Intercollegiate.

WSU will be facing another strong field that features 12 teams ranked in Mastercard's Collegiate Golf Rankings Top 25. The Cougs will join Pacific 10 powers Arizona (#2), Arizona State (#4), Stanford (#5), UCLA (#9), Oregon (#10), Washington (#23), Oregon State (#24) and unranked California at the par-72 Stanford Golf Course. Pepperdine (#12), Tulsa, (#13), New Mexico State (#14), San Jose State (#19), New Mexico (#22), Texas Tech, Texas A&M, SMU, and Indiana round out the 18-team field.

The 54-hole tournament will start at 8:00 a.m. on Friday and continue with 18 holes on Saturday and Sunday. Cougar head coach Walt Williams is staying with his lineup of freshmen Donna Bell and Shanelle Roberts, sophomore Tasha Browner, junior Jennifer Dodd, and senior Jenny Ballou.
