What's Happening This Week: The Washington State men's golf team will be traveling to St. George, Utah, Feb. 13-14, for the Thunderbird Invitational held at the Sunbrook Golf Course...36-hole event will be held on two nine-hole championship courses...Black Rock is par-36, 3,384 yards...The Pointe is par-36, 3,374 yards...course will play to a par-72, 6,758 yard layout.

The Field: The 13 team field includes six teams named to Golfstat's Top-100: Air Force, Boise State (51), Denver (48), Grand Canyon (9, Division II), Idaho, Idaho State, San Francisco, Southern Utah, Utah (83), Utah State, Utah Valley State, Washington State (65) and Weber State (97).

Last Time Out: The Del Walker Intercollegiate: Junior Chris Collins racked up his third top-10 finish of the season at the Del Walker Intercollegiate held at the par-71, 6,633 yard Virginia Country Club, Nov. 3-4...Collins finished in seventh place, one spot ahead of redshirt junior Jordan Madison...Madison's eighth place finish marked his second top-10 effort of the season...sophomore Jordan Mason also finished in the top 25 finishing tied for 20th...Cougars as a team placed third at 1-over 853.

Traveling for the Cougars: Nine Cougars will be making the trip down to Utah this week: Sophomore Jordan Mason, RS- junior Jordan Madison, junior Chris Collins, RS-junior Chad Carlson, and RS-senior David Fern...traveling as individuals will be: junior Kevin Chen, senior Ryan Witz, RS-sophomore Matt Fladwood, and freshman Max Reinland.

Madison Moves up in the Record Books: Redshirt junior Jordan Madison's eighth place finish at the Del Walker Intercollegiate, Nov. 3-4, 2005, moved him into a two-way tie for fourth in the WSU record book for total career top-10 finishes...Madison now has eight top-10 finishes as a Cougar.

Washington State Men's Golf Notes:
--The Thunderbird Invitational marks RS-senior David Fern's first tournament of the year...missed the fall season due to illness...had seven top-25 finishes and four top-10 efforts during his junior season after transferring to WSU from Pepperdine University.
--Washington State University is currently ranked 65th by Golfstat, Inc. and 75th by Golfweek.
--The Cougars finished third in three of the five fall tournaments: Northwest Collegiate, Cardinal Intercollegiate and the Del Walker Intercollegiate.
--Junior Chris Collins tallied three top-10 finishes during the fall campaign...has four top-10 finishes and six top-25 efforts as a Cougar.
--First tournament of the spring season for the Cougars, next tournament will be the Inland Cup hosted by WSU in Clarkston, Wash., Feb. 27.
