WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation recognized 14 Washington State University track and field athletes for their academic excellence in the classroom as well as their individual accomplishments in intercollegiate athletics for the 2005 indoor season.

Qualifying student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, must be at least a sophomore academically, must complete at least one full academic year at their current institution, and must have participated in fifty percent or more of their institution's competitions.

WSU is a member of the MPSF for the indoor track and field season. The MPSF honored indoor track and field student-athletes from 11 member schools.
