WSU Head Coach Tony Bennett

On the game...
"Our guys played their hearts out, with great passion. They fought like crazy and got to the spot where we could have put it away and come up on top, but we didn't. In this league this year you're going to have to play well to be in games and you have to execute and play well down the stretch."

"It wasn't a lack of effort, our kids came out focused, a very good defensive effort for the most part. It stings, it sure does."

On late looks...
"We did take it at them we were assertive and made enough plays to win the game. I thought we played better today than we did Thursday."

On the Pac-10...
"It's a great league. It's high-level, it's elite. We've got our plate full every time we go out on the floor and we need to be clicking on all cylinders. It's tough. You're going to be in tight games, you have to finish down the stretch. We need to bounce back. It's not so much the quality of our play right now, we've just lost some close ones."

On Derrick Low's play...
"He was aggressive, hopefully he can be that way all the time. He responded from a hard game Thursday. He came out assertive, but not silly. He was purposeful. We need Derrick, Aron and Kyle to play well. When those three play well, it really makes a difference."

On Stanford's defense...
"We had to use the dribble, that's one of our strengths and the game dictated that. They play very good defense and you're not just going to free up and get wide opened 3-pointers. When teams pressure you, you have to use the bounce and I thought we did a good job of that at times."

On Robbie Cowgill's play...
"Robbie was tremendous, he worked his tail off. He's really stepped up the last couple of games, he's been challenged."

On Kyle Weaver's play...
"We needed to be aggressive and Kyle did it."

WSU Guard Kyle Weaver

On the game...
"I think as a team we came out and played with a little more energy than last game, which is a positive I can take out of this. We need to come out like that every night."

On free throw shooting...
"Our free throws this game were crucial, in a game like this it can make it or break it. We missed a few key ones at times and we needed them, they could have turned the game around."

WSU Guard Derrick Low

On the loss...
"It definitely hurts, especially at home. I thought we played really hard. Of course we're going to have breakdowns, we're not perfect. I think we need to get back to some basics and get our edge back and come ready for our next games. We'll learn from this loss, try to take the positives out, and hope it helps us for our next games."

WSU Forward Robbie Cowgill

On the game...
"I felt like for the most part we played pretty solid tonight, better defensively than we had. We felt a little tougher out there today. I feel like it slipped away, we had some chances down the line. It felt good, like we were going to get this one, based on the way we were playing early."

Stanford Coach Trent Johnson

On today's game...
"They're a pretty good basketball team, I have the utmost respect and the highest regard for Washington State and Coach Bennett"

On Washington State's defense...
"They're very good defensively, I told our kids to play with composure and to play with poise. Taking care of the ball and executing on offensive against this team is hard"

On the shooting of forward Lawrence Hill...
"He shot the ball with confidence, and he took good shots that were open without hesitating."

Stanford Forward Lawrence Hill

On today's game...
"Everyone pushed through especially in the last 10 minutes. We were able to minimize turnovers and we kept cutting down the lead."

Stanford Center Brook Lopez

On the team's mindset going into overtime...
"We wanted to keep getting stops on defense, to run clock on offense and to keep getting good looks."
