LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Rometra Craig scored a game-high 23 points to lead the USC Women of Troy to a 92-44 win over the Washington State Cougars in Pacific-10 Conference women's basketball action, Friday at the Sports Arena.
The win improved USC to 6-7 overall and 1-2 in the Pac-10. WSU dropped to 0-10 overall and 0-2 in the Pac-10.
Craig led a quartet of USC players who scored in double figures while Bianca McCall led WSU with 12 points. It was McCall's seventh game scoring double figures in points this season.
USC took control immediately recording the game's first six points. Holding a 12-5 advantage at the 12:05 mark of the first half, the Women of Troy scored 12 unanswered points in a 1:54 span to take a 24-5 lead with 10:11 remaining.
WSU pulled to within 26-13 at the 7:01 mark but USC re-built its lead back to 19 points at 38-19 at the conclusion of the first half.
For the game WSU shot 16-of-51 (31.8 percent) from the field while USC was 35-of-68 (48.4 percent).
WSU returns to action, Sunday, Jan. 5 against UCLA at 2 p.m.
