Recap |  Final Stats |  Quotes |  Photo Gallery

  • Today's victory by WSU marked the first Cougar win at Husky Stadium since a 41-35 victory, Nov. 22, 1997 and only the second since 1987.

  • Alex Brink's 30-yard touchdown pass to Greg Prator on the Cougars first drive marked the fifth time this season the Cougars have scored on their opening drive (Idaho, Oregon St., UCLA, California, Washington).

  • Jerome Harrison finished the first half with 122 yards, the eighth time in 11 games this season he has reached the century mark by halftime.

  • Jerome Harrison's 207 rushing yards marked the 14th consecutive game he has rushed for more than 100 yards, extending his Pac-10 record...he also has rushed for 100-plus yards 15 times in his two-year career, tying the WSU record of Shaumbe Wright-Fair (1989-92).

  • Jerome Harrison's rushing total of 207 yards marked the fourth time this season and fifth time in his career, both school records, he eclipsed the 200-yard mark...his rushing total also marked a Cougar-high for an Apple Cup.

  • Jerome Harrison's third-quarter rushing touchdown was his 16th this season, extending his single-season school record...it also marked the 25th rushing TD of his career, second all-time at WSU.

  • Jerome Harrison's 1,900 rushing yards this season is the 20th-best single-season performance listed in the NCAA record book...it was also the fifth-best single-season performance by a Pac-10 player, joining USC running backs Marcus Allen (2,427 in 1981), Charles White (2,050, 1979), Ricky Bell (1,975, 1975) and California's J.J. Arrington (2,018, 2004) as the only backs to reach the 1,900-yard mark.

  • Jerome Harrison finished this season with 2,113 all-purpose yards, second on WSU's single-season list behind Bernard Jackson's 2,118 (1971)...Harrison finished his two-year career 6th on the all-purpose yardage list with 3,225.

  • Harrison's 16 rushing touchdowns tie him for 15th on the Pac-10 single-season list.

  • The Cougars won back-to-back games for just the seventh time in the 98-game series and quarterback Alex Brink is the first WSU quarterback to win back-to-back games against the Huskies.

  • The last time the Cougars came from behind to win a game in the final two minutes occurred Sept. 25, 2004, when Josh Swogger threw a 15-yard TD pass to Jason Hill with :53 seconds remaining for the 20-19 victory at Arizona.

  • Jason Hill continued to climb both the single-season and career receiving charts...with his five catches for 49 yards, Hill is now 5th in single-season receptions (62), he remains fourth in single-season yards (1,097) and moved into 6th in career yards (2,104).

OFFENSE AMONG BEST IN WSU HISTORY: WSU's 638 total offense yards against Oregon State is fifth on the all-time single-game WSU list; and the Cougars' 601 total offense yards at California marked the 12th time a Cougar team has topped 600 yards...WSU's offense finished the season with 5,382 yards, which ranks fourth on the WSU single-season list...however, based on a per game average, the 2005 offense is the third-most prolific in WSU history...the current team averaged 489.3 ypg, third only to the 1997 team, 493.5, and the 1988 squad, 491.6 ypg.
