THE ABC CAMPAIGN: Cougar volleyball and the Breast Cancer Support Group of the Palouse, known as the Bosom Buddies, have joined together for the Attacking Breast Cancer (ABC) Pledge Drive for the fifth consecutive year...October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Cougar players will be collecting monetary pledges for each attack which results in a point) for WSU during the seven matches this month...$5,791.65 has been collected since 2002...contact WSU volleyball at 509-335-0277.
LAST WEEK: The Cougars took on the defending national champions, Washington, and lost after playing three tight games - 32-30, 30-28, 34-32, before a record crowd of 6,216 fans...Kelly Rosin and Adetokunbo Faleti each had 14 kills with Rosing hitting .355 and adding four blocks...Tara West was the match blocks leader with six...Corina Beyer added 44 assists and Kelly Hyder added a match-high 23 digs...Brittany Johnson had 13 kills and four blocks...WSU hit .240 for the match and UW hit .245...Husky All-Americans Christal Morrison 18 kills and Courtney Thompson had 55 assists.
