SERIES AGAINST THE WILDCATS: Arizona leads 25-13, including a 13-5 mark in Pullman...last time teams met at Bailey-Brayton Field, Washington State won two of three games against the 12th-ranked Wildcats in 2007...first meeting was March 26, 1975 in Riverside, Calif., won by the Cougars 3-1 on Phil Westendorf's two-run home run in the bottom of the 10th inning...Westendorf went on to play five minor league seasons in the Kansas City Royals' organization.
RELIEF HELP: The Cougar bullpen has notched seven victories this season, led by three from Jeremy Johnson...Michael Ratigan has one win in relief this season and his six career victories out of the bullpen are one shy of the all-time Washington State top 10 list...Paris Shewey, David Stilley and James Wise have also picked up wins in relief this season, the first-collegiate victory for each of the three hurlers.
BEATING THE BEST: Washington State's 10-4 victory at then-No. 1 Arizona State, April 12 was the first by a Cougar team in any sport since Washington State volleyball defeated Stanford in Pullman during the 2002 season.
