Cougars Complete Fall Season with Top 10 Finish

KAPOLEI, Hawai'i. - Junior Amy Eneroth continued her dominant fall season and led the Washington State University women's golf team to an eighth place tie at the Kent Youel Invitational, Wednesday.

The Cougars wrapped up the fall portion of their season shooting a three-round total of 934 at the par-72, 6,150-yard Kapolei Golf Course. Paired once again in a strong field, including six teams ranked in the top 50 nationally, the No. 47 Cougars shot a combined third round total of 312 to secure their position. Rankings according to Golfweek.

Eneroth notched her third top 25 finish this fall, and the 20th of her career, shooting a 3-over par 75 in the final round. Eneroth's total score of 229 was good for a tie at 22nd and moved her to a tie for fifth on the career top 25 list.

Junior Jessica Black also fared well throughout the tournament and fired a two-day total of 230. Black finished the tournament in a tie for 26th.

Sophomore Diana Hong, improving her score late in the tournament, finished with a total of 236. Senior Brooke Henderson carded a 240 and freshman Allison Travis shot a 247 to round out the Cougar contingent.

The women return to tournament play in Feb. for the Cutbert Cup, held in South Carolina.
