David Fern Leads the Cougars at the Opus Northwest Husky Invitational

BREMERTON, Wash. - Redshirt-junior David Fern is tied for 23rd place after two rounds of play at the Opus Northwest Husky Invitational at Bremerton, Wash., Monday.

Fern is four strokes back of the top-10 after shooting 148 (+4) over two rounds.

The Cougars are in ninth place as a team, two strokes ahead of San Diego State.

Rounding out the scoring for the Cougars are Ben Bryson and Chris Collins who both shot 155 (+11), Jordan Mason, who shot 156 (+12), Ryan Witz, who shot 159 (+15), and Jordan Madison, who shot 160 (+16).

The Cougars also sent players to two other tournaments which took place Sept. 25-26.

At the Vandal Fall Classic in Moscow, Idaho, Kevin Chen and Fred Schlect earned top-10 finishes playing as individual competitors. Chen finished in a tie for sixth place with a three-round score of 210 (-3), and Schlect finished tied for eighth with a 211 (-2). Heather O'Leary earned a top-10 finish as an individual at the Lady Vandal Fall Invitational at Moscow, Idaho. She finished tied for 10th with a three-round score of 236 (+20).
