Ryan Witz Earns Pac-10 Honor

PULLLMAN, Wash. -- - Washington State's Ryan Witz, a senior from Tucson, Ariz., was named Friday to the Pacific-10 Conference honorable mention golf team by the league's coaches.

Witz, who earlier this spring won the Duck (University of Oregon) Invitational, recorded four finishes in the top 10 this spring and one last fall.

The social science major finished his two-year WSU career with six finishes in the top 10 and nine finishes in the top 25.

Witz attended Santa Rita High in Tucson and then Pima Community College for two years before joining the Cougar team in the fall of 2004. While at Pima CC he finished second at the NJCAA National Championships to earn junior college All-America honors his sophomore season.
