Former Washington State wide receiver Chris Jackson, a member of the Cougars' 1998 Rose Bowl team, tied an Arena Football League record by hauling in seven touchdown receptions Saturday to lead his Los Angeles Avengers past the Austin Wranglers.

Jackson, who is in his fifth AFL season, was named the Baby Ruth Real Deal Co-Offensive Player of the Week after catching 11 passes for 210 yards and equaling the league mark with seven touchdowns.

Los Angeles outscored Austin 81-70 for the victory. Jackson has now earned player of the week honors seven times and was the 2003 Offensive Player of the Year.
