WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Washington State University's Haley Paul was named to the 2005 Women's All-Pacific-10 Conference Cross Country first team Thursday by Commissioner Tom Hansen.
A sophomore from Phoenix, Ariz., Paul was one of seven women named to the women's first team which is selected order of finish at the Pac-10 Championships. She went on to earn All-America honors with her 14th place finish at the NCAA Championships last month in Indiana.
Paul also earned Pac-10 All-Academic first team honors this fall.
Stanford's Arianna Lambie and Arizona's Robert Cheseret were named Pac-10 Cross Country Athletes of the Year while Newcomer of the Year awards went to Mark Matusak (California) and Tori Tyler (Washington). Stanford's Peter Tegen was honored as both the men's and women's Coach of the Year for the conference.
